CrossFi Evolution Hackathon # 1

CrossFi Evolutions Hackathons (CEH) are a series of events meticulously orchestrated by the CrossFi Foundation to captivate Web3 developers and propel the expansion of the CrossFinance ecosystem.

The primary objective of these hackathons is to cultivate a robust community of developers fervently dedicated to fabricating products and services utilizing the CrossFi Chain while seamlessly integrating the XFI native coin to enrich its utilitarian functions and liquidity. Moreover, these events are strategically designed to escalate the user base within the product ecosystem and fortify trust in blockchain technologies and the decentralized finance industry. Staying true to our core values of inclusiveness, all our hackathons are easy to apply to and participate in. Our documentation is easy to understand, and the CrossFi team is eager to help with any questions. 

Boost XFI Utility

Boost XFI Utility is the first online event within the scope of the CrossFi Evolutions Hackathons (CEH), inviting everyone, regardless of their background or experience, to participate in the shift of the financial paradigm and evolve alongside the CrossFi team and our partners. With a total prize pool of $300,000 in MPX coins, the event will feature three main categories for integration with the CrossFi Chain, DeFi, Infrastructure, and GameFi & NFT.

Roadmap

Participation

Overall, we are not setting any limitations for participation in Boost XFI Utility; there is only one main rule: all application fields must be filled out completely, with all information provided being credible and verifiable.

DeFi

At the moment, DeFi protocols are dominating the cryptocurrency market and are the main driver for blockchain technology development. These protocols significantly increase total value locked (TVL), which is one of the crucial criteria for evaluating a specific blockchain and its native coin. The DeFi sector plays a huge role in increasing the value and liquidity of XFI.

In order to participate in this category, we’re suggesting the following directions:

• Lending and borrowing protocols
• Automated Market Makers (АММ)
• Market forecasting
• Collateralized Debt Positions (CDP)
• Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD)
• Yield aggregators
• Insurance

Prize pool of $ 150 000:

• 1st place: $50 000
• 2nd place: $35 000
• 3rd place: $20 000
• 4-8th places: $9 000

Infrastructure

The infrastructure sector is essential for implementing and scaling the blockchain; it significantly impacts the native coin’s liquidity. The more convenient and understandable tools are developed, the more users and developers will be attracted to CrossFi Chain.

In order to participate in this category, we’re suggesting the following directions:

• Cross-chain communications
• API
• Indexers
• Wallets
• Super Nodes
• MEV (maximal extractable value) Protection

Prize pool of $ 90 000:

• 1st place: $30,000
• 2nd place: $21,000
• 3rd place: $12,000
• 4-8th places: $5,400

GameFi and NFT

The GameFi market is considered to be the next step in game development and monetization. NFT became a unique phenomenon and is now in a revival stage due to its integration into game mechanics. GameFi and NFT are proper catalysts for increasing TVL and the number of transactions performed, which in turn provide a great push to reinforce the XFI coin’s position.

In order to participate in this category, we’re suggesting the following directions:

• Games (play 2 earn, tap 2 earn, NFT game content)
• NFT marketplace

Prize pool of $ 60,000:

• 1st place: $30,000
• 2nd place: $20,000
• 3rd place: $10,000

Project scoring

Project scoring will be carried out using the following criteria:

• The team and their experience
• A website and its’ quality (content, visual)
• Marketing documentation
• Technical documentation
• XFI implementation
• The project must be deployed on the CrossFi Chain test network
• All solutions must be open-source
• Minimum viable product – MVP

Grant Program

As we stated earlier, we are not setting any strict conditions for Boost XFI utility participation, as this will help many developers take their first step toward productive and mutually beneficial cooperation with the Cross Finance team. In addition to the prize places, every participant can also get involved in a developer grant program for the specified directions. We will certainly contact the teams that display true interest and talent during the Boost XFI utility.
