Haley Cromer - Developer Evangelist In her talk at the CrossFi Changes Everything 2024 Conference in Vietnam, Haley Cromer, Developer Evangelist at CrossFi, gave a detailed overview of the CrossF L1 blockchain and how its construct and architecture create a developer-friendly environment to promote innovation and improvement of the blockchain.
Haley said, We have had the opportunity to test these cards in Vietnam, and they have been working perfectly. This technology will revolutionize how you pay for goods and have control and access to your money.
According to Haley, this is an excellent time for you to regain control over your funds. This is important because if a country’s currency is undervalued or unstable, you can access many other currencies worldwide. It opened the borders to send money worldwide, the same way the internet opened connections to people across the globe in the 90s.
Haley explained that CrossFi has created an EVM-compatible Layer 1 Modular Blockchain. That means developers worldwide who use the EVM blockchain can join our chain and build new products in our ecosystem. The blockchain can scale immensely and will only become more robust, better, and faster daily. As we add more users and builders to our blockchain, performance and output will improve exponentially.
She added that the CrossFi Chain has three main parts: architecture, network, and engine. Our architecture is modular and completely customizable—for example, a PC vs. a Macbook. You can build a PC with different parts and hardware exactly how you want it. Similarly to monolithic blockchains, a Mac is non-customizable, and you keep what you get until you get a new version.
She then went into detail about the architecture of the CrossFi Chain:
Our network is Cosmos, which makes our blockchain fast at 5 seconds of block time. This is what makes instant payments possible for our payment cards. Our engine is based on EVM and Cosmos, so developers can build dApps and integrate them into our ecosystem to make it compatible and accessible worldwide.
In her finishing remarks, she added that CrossFi has workshops and hackathons planned to help onboard developers and create incentives for their contributions. Our testnet is on its way to making our blockchain scale, secure, and robust. Join us in changing the world of Defi and banking for the better.
