Tokens Swap

Secure way to exchange tokens issued on the CrossFi Chain

swap tokens

Thanks to the use of an automated market maker (AMM), you can quickly and easily swap tokens. The token exchange takes place through the liquidity pool provided in xAPP. However, a pool for a specific pair of tokens is not necessary.

Since xAPP works on the EVM part of the CrossFi Chain, you will need an XFI coin to pay commissions to complete any operation.

token swap examples

You want to make a token swap of XFI for eMPX, but there is no such liquidity pool. At the same time, there are xUSD/XFI and xUSD/eMPX pools. To avoid performing two actions, first exchange XFI for xUSD and then xUSD for eMPX. The xAPP protocol will do this automatically. Thus, for you, the token exchange of XFI to eMPX will happen in one click.

how to use token swap

Choosing Tokens

Confirm the transaction in MetaMask

Complete the transaction

The transaction is completed

In the “Tokens swap” section, in the upper field, select the token that you want to exchange, in the lower one that we want to receive. After entering the amount of tokens to be exchanged, the system will calculate:

  • The amount of tokens to be received at the current token rates to USDT;
  • The transaction fee.

If you have entered more tokens for exchange than you have available, the system displays the error message “Exceeds balance”.

Next, click the “Swap”.

A MetaMask pop-up window will open to confirm the transaction. Make sure the data is correct and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.

It is necessary to confirm the transaction in the MetaMask wallet. In the wallet window that opens, we check all the information once again and confirm the transaction by clicking the “Confirm” button.

The transaction takes no more than 5 seconds to complete and in this short period of time the system will display the amount of tokens that you are exchanging.

After completing the transaction, the system will provide you with:

  • Information about a successful exchange;
  • The amount of tokens received;
  • Hash of the transaction and a link to view it in XFI Scan.

FAQ

Which Tokens Are Issued on the Blockchain?

On the CrossFi Chain, the tokens available for transactions and swaps via the xAPP include:

  • XFI
  • USDT
  • xUSD
  • wXFI
  • eMPX

These tokens can be used in swaps, added to liquidity pools, and staked for rewards within the CrossFi ecosystem.

What Is a Liquidity Pool?

A liquidity pool is a smart contract-based pool that contains pairs of tokens provided by liquidity providers. These pools facilitate decentralized trading (such as token swaps) without needing a traditional order book. Users can contribute tokens to a liquidity pool and earn rewards, such as a percentage of trading fees, for doing so.

In the CrossFi xAPP, liquidity pools allow token swaps through an automated market maker (AMM).

How to Swap Crypto?

To swap crypto on the CrossFi xAPP, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the Tokens: Select the tokens you want to swap from the available options (USDT, XFI, xUSD, wXFI, eMPX).
  2. Specify the Amount: Enter the amount of tokens you wish to swap. The system will display transaction details such as exchange rates and commissions.
  3. Confirm Transaction: If everything is correct, confirm the transaction. If using MetaMask, a pop-up will appear for final approval.
  4. Success: Once the swap is completed, you will receive a notification confirming the transaction.

The xAPP simplifies the process, even allowing swaps between tokens that don’t have a direct liquidity pool by routing through available pools.

What Is an Automated Market Maker (AMM)?

An Automated Market Maker (AMM) protocol allows decentralized exchanges to facilitate trading without relying on traditional order books. Instead, the AMM uses smart contracts and liquidity pools to determine the price of tokens based on supply and demand. It enables users to swap tokens directly from liquidity pools.

In the CrossFi xAPP, AMM technology automates token swaps, ensuring fast and secure transactions.

What Is EVM?

EVM is the runtime environment for executing smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. Since CrossFi xAPP works on the EVM-compatible part of the CrossFi Chain, users need to hold XFI coins to pay for transaction fees when swapping tokens or performing other operations on the platform.

The EVM allows for interoperability between Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains like CrossFi, ensuring the smooth execution of smart contracts.
