PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification is a set of security standards designed to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. The PCI DSS was established by the PCI Security Standards Council, which was founded by major credit card companies, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.

The process to obtain the PCI DSS certification involved a comprehensive assessment of CrossFi project infrastructure, including thorough checks on our systems’ level of protection and security. By achieving this certification, CrossFi guarantees the confidentiality of world-class cardholder data, ensuring that our users can trust the security of their funds with absolute confidence. The standards cover a wide range of security measures, including:

1. Building and maintaining a secure network: This includes installing and maintaining a firewall configuration to protect cardholder data and avoiding using vendor-supplied defaults for system passwords.
2. Protecting cardholder data: This involves encrypting the transmission of cardholder data across open, public networks and protecting stored cardholder data.
3. Maintaining a vulnerability management program: This requires using and regularly updating anti-virus software or programs and developing and maintaining secure systems and applications.
4. Implementing strong access control measures includes restricting access to cardholder data by business need-to-know, assigning a unique ID to each person with computer access, and restricting physical access to cardholder data.
5. Regularly monitoring and testing networks: This involves tracking and monitoring all access to network resources and cardholder data and regularly testing security systems and processes.
6. Maintaining an information security policy: Organizations are required to maintain a policy that addresses information security for employees and contractors.
